How to Use the G Pen Elite II
Basic use
Remove the mouthpiece and load up the chamber with ground up herb.
Easily snap the mouthpiece back in place thanks to the upgraded magnetic lid.
Power on the device by pressing and holding the power button for three seconds.
Next, use the + / – buttons to set the vape to your desired temperature.
As soon as your desired temperature is reached, the built-in haptic feedback will vibrate to let you know it’s time to start inhaling.
Access settings menu
Press the power button times rapidly to access additional settings.
The settings menu allows you to control things like enabling convection boost and set a custom session shut-off timer, screen brightness, and more.
Our Experience
I was first introduced to the G Pen with their first generation Elite vape. While a decent vape pen, it has some quarks including an awkward shaped, rubber mouthpiece.
This new, 2nd generation G Pen Elite II, however, is fantastic.
The new zirconia magnetic mouthpiece is great and the airflow has been improved with the air intake built into the side of the device. You you can easily cover the intake with your finger to regulate airflow just like a carb on most pipes. The upgraded LCD screen is a great improvement too with an added settings menu for more control.
With wide range temp control, you can fine tune the heat to your liking. Go low to maximize the flavor profile of your tasty herbs or turn up the heat for fulfilling vapor clouds.
The G Pen Elite II uses a combination of conduction and convection heating a nice, even vapor. It heats fast, produces great flavor, and is easy to operate.
It also comes with a useful protective carrying case as well as a silicone sleeve to keep your vape looking fresh and free of scratches.
At around 330F, and waiting about 45-seconds for the Elite to fully heat up, did the trick for me. I tested this baby out with some Peanut Butter Breath flower I got from a buddy. This thing tasted yummy and produced some really smooth vapors. While the airflow might feel somewhat restricted, you’ll notice decent sized vapors with a slow, long puff.
Make sure you use a quality dry herb grinder to get even heating. This will maximize vapor size and flavor.
If you’re looking for a great dry herb vape in the mid-$200 range, the G Pen Elite II is a fantastic option.
